This is an excellent organization to receive mentorship, guidance and skill development. It is a relaxed environment to ask many questions and receive genuine feedback and support. I read several of the interview and job based articles on the website which provided concise no-nonsense information that helped me be successful in my search. General Intelligences is a one-stop shop for ALL students no matter if they are fresh out of high school or several years removed from the process. Excellent experience getting to have a sense of community with like-minded and driven students that I know will be making moves in their industry!

General Intelligences did a great job with the Mentorship Capstone Program which I participated in for Cohort I. The program consisted of weekly primary literature and global news developments that helped me to develop my research skills, analysis of literature, communication with a diverse team of students from all over the world and encouraged me to develop skills for publication. I credit the General Intelligences team for instilling the confidence to pursue a publication after the program and guidance on how to navigate the complexities of the process. I believe this is the first of many peer-reviewed articles and am excited to contribute more to my field going forward.

As a queer and FGLI student I did not initially have many successful role models in my field of study and especially did not have the opportunity or means to connect with them. Through General Intelligences I was able to combine my passion and initiative and reach out to speakers from some of the webinars and workshops to grow my knowledge and skills. This led to many fruitful conversations which I credit to being able to graduate with a job waiting for me. This is an amazing organization that made me feel like I was heard and seen. After being routinely ignored and failed by conventional systems in place, this was a breath of fresh air.

I plan on participating in the Summer Research Journal Club where I hope to learn more about current literature in education disparities. General Intelligences is a premier resource for students and by students. I did not have many opportunities to speak to professional college counselors or administrators at my school, but was able to network with students and staff in the business world through the webinars and community. Knowing people in your career path is a resource that a lot of people underestimate. General Intelligences gets it right by setting you up for success by letting you speak to the right people.
